RB-S Fast Rescue Craft - Modular Egress Training Simulator
I worked as part of a design team in the design and development of a simulator that was a near-to-exact replica of a 28 foot rescue craft complete with seating, consoles, instruments, sliding doors, sponsons, and cabins. Special considerations included material selection weight and size. All framing was made of Stainless steel and parts and panel were various plastics that could withstand the harsh chlorinated environment that the training simulator would be exposed to. I worked mainly on the more complex mechanical assemblies need to actuate release pins and moving components. This required more extensive geometric analysis to ensure the components would function properly. Furthermore, I completed Finite Element Analysis and design of a cradle assembly used to transport this craft.
About Me
I'm a senior design technologist specializing in machine design and coming up with creative solutions to complex problems. Research and Development and new product design are my forte. My objective is to work researching mechanical components, develop concepts into cost effective working prototypes, complete detail design in a 3D parametric world, complete work packages for manufacture containing detail and assembly drawings. Designing from concept to working prototype. Looking for quick turn-around and highest quality, I'm the man for the job.
