Material Integration Conveyor System with vision guidance.
Material handling and complex integration of rubber products though a vision guidance system. Rubber product was guided from one production process line to another system 30 ft away and 20 ft up. The rubber was twisted and turned through guiding rollers and conveyed on a custom built conveyor the had to be ingeniously supported structurally and dropped down onto another conveyor that was modified to accept two bands of rubber being applied to an already moving stream of rubber product. The two bands were guided by a vision guidance system that would constantly monitor it's position and readjust the bands when necessary. This project also entailed reviewing older designs done in 2D design format and updating the machine with latest components and modelling hundreds of parts and assemblies. The project was in the order of $500,000 in design and manufacture.
