Customer Homebuilder Website with PHP

I designed and coded this site for Design Tech Homes, a custom home builder, in 2003. Although it's been 14 years, the code still works just fine and the design still holds up due to the adherence to solid design principles. The site uses PHP to interact with the database and actually uses flat files ( text files ) to store the data. White flat files aren't as secure or as scalable as a database, databases like MySQL were still in beta in 2003 and the customer was looking for the ability to be able to quickly and easily edit the data on an ongoing basis without involving a Web developer. They were very happy with the quickness and ease with which they could edit their floorplans, success stories, and photos without having to pay to develop an administrative interface. Using PHP allowed me to serve a single footer and main navigation across the entire site. The site does use tables instead of CSS, but this was 2003 :).

About Me

I started in design in 1993 and have a rich body of experience as a creative director, graphic designer, Web developer and video editor / animator. I can handle anything from hand-coding custom Websites using jQuery, PHP and MySQL to designing your company's logo. I am a good communicator and I keep my word. I really listen and learn so that I understand your challenge and I am not happy until you are. I am new to this site, so I do not yet have any reviews. However, I ask that you look at my portfolio and decide for yourself. I am very good at what I do.
