Within my academic expertise, I have concluded my 5-year university degree in Translation (Interpreters) by Technological and Management School of Higher Education of Leiria, where I acquired academic experience in technical translation, software localisation, subtitling and consecutive and simultaneous interpreting. Through my experience in the European Commission in the field of "Law, citizenship, administration and external relations" I could develop my technical translation skills. In the Portuguese public broadcaster, I had the opportunity of subtitling for deaf and hard-of-hearing and of getting in touch with different realities. As in-house translator in Deltalngua Lda. and in Indra Sistemas, I could acquire a more professional perspective of the translation market and improve my technical know-how. Specialties I'm quite familiarised with legal texts, particularly contracts. I'm also used to translate engineering and electronic texts (particularly MP3s, TVs, DVDs, video cameras and other electronic equipment) and texts in several other fields such as Computer Science (Software), Automotive Industry (for Mitsubishi, Chevrolet and Nissan) or Industrial Equipment.
