The Deep Exhibition Soundtrack
I was commissioned by the Natural History Museum to create the background music for their 2011 family blockbuster exhibition 'The Deep'. The exhibition space was intensely moody - dark, stirring and dramatically lit - and they needed a long stretch of music oblique enough to be run on constant loop but strong enough to amplify the charged atmosphere. Here are some roughly chopped together extracts from the twenty five minute piece that I made - and mixed specifically for the gallery space. The piece was incredibly effective, receiving some glowing mentions in the press and being used on BBC1 in a news segment about the exhibition.
