Suit of Armor
The Background plate was shot in Old Fort Jackson's Blacksmith shop in Savannah, GA.Environment map a 32bit .EXR HDR (High Dynamic Range) image for lighting and reflections.Matchmove live action to CG.I modeled each piece of the suit of armor in Maya.I painted the textures for all the grunge, banging, burn marks, dirt and scratches as different layers in Modbox and I used them to break up the reflection and specular highlight. For the whole project I worked in 32 bit floating points. I made a light rig to separate the light from an HRD image, also known as light extraction, to use it as my main light, which is the sun, to do some lighting. To render I have used 16 passages to complete the project
