I currently enrolled in Midway College's Associates Medical Coding program and currently have a 3.85 GPA through the completion of the major course work.The major job responsibilities I have handled are assigning and sequencing the codes for the diagnoses and procedures, determining the final diagnoses, performing reviews for the records, making sure all the parts are included in the which would reflect the care and treatment given, analyzing provider documentation to ensure if appropriate evaluation and management levels are assigned and establishing and performing logs for various form process and batch numbers. I was also in charge of following up on outstanding claims to determine where in the process claims where based on a 30-60-90 protocol. When necessary, I worked to provide insurance companies with additional requested information in a timely fashion and attempted to clean as many claims as possible each month. In the time with the company, my efforts increased insurance payments and decreased the amount of denials by the third party payer.
