SEED MK1 electric racecar
The MK1 was the first racecar I designed. Its design was mainly focused in simplicity and ease of fabrication. In spite of this, some of the design key points where pretty demanding. The car was conceived to be AWD, with one motor driving each wheel, being the front ones in wheel motors, and the rears mounted inside of the frame and drivign the wheels throught a reduction gear and a couple of driveshafts. Due to space restrictions in the fabrication facilites, the layout of the different components was uncomon for the time. The batteries and inverters where located in the sides of the vehicle, while the motors, vehicle control unit and DCDC boost where located behind the driver. This was done so to minimize the lenght of the car, the polar momento of inertia and height of the center of gravity
