Advanced Processing Packaging Lines Scheduling Problem
Lezita factory, in-process packaging lines, inefficiencies are experienced due to high preparation times, this situation adversely affect the timely arrival of the works for shipment. The aim of this project is to increase productivity in the packaging area by using scheduling methods to minimize the maximum completion times in the packaging lines. This is based on the permutational sequential dependent flow type scheduling method, which also fits the structure of the problem. Solution algorithms have been developed in Microsoft Excel using the macro-based visual basic (VBA) programming language. Thanks to the developed solution methods, a productivity increase of nearly 20% was achieved.
