EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: • Masters Of Computer Application (MCA) from National Institute of Technology , Jamshedpur. WORK EXPERIENCE: • Around more than 2.5 years of Experience in Development of web and window based and client server applications. Enterprise System Solutions (P) Limited Project Experience 1. Project Name: MAP*IT Client Name: Maersk Logistics (Denmark) Duration: Oct 2005 till date Role: Module Lead Project Brief : MAP*IT is a high level supply chain modeling and simulation system with focus on lead time calculation, cost calculation, storage calculations and documentation. Basically the following steps are included in building a scenario (supply chain model): 1. Design the physical supply chain in a graphic environment. This step includes adding supply, demand and storage activities in the graphic environment. These activities then have to be connected with transport. Activities are shown as boxes and transports are shown as lines/arrows connecting the boxes. 2. Define the products and the product flow (routes) in the supply chain. 3. Define inbound and outbound seasonality’s for storage activities. This is necessary in order to calculate the storage utilization and lead time. 4. Define hierarchies in the supply chain. This could be defining the number of units per box, number of boxes per pallet, number of pallets per container. The hierarchies can be used to calculate number of containers and other figures. Figures needed for the cost calculations when cost is based on for instance number of containers. 5. Specifying cost for the different activities. After these steps it is possible to calculate lead time and cost for the supply chain. Pls. note that much more details are included in building a complete scenario. This could be defining the split between container types, loss percentages in activities, documenting source of input figures and so on. The MAP*IT application is a client/server application with the client application and the server database (the local database) both running on the client PC. This setup is chosen to make the application mobile and able to run on the client PC without connection to the central server. The central database is used for backup and exchange of data between clients. The main communication to/from the central server is ftp communication of replication messages handled by the database replication agents. Few function such as check-in and check-out can only be handled when the client is connected to the network, since this requires the client application to make a direction connection to the central database. The GUI (graphical user interface), OL (object layer) and the DBL (database layer) are all part of the executable running on the client PC. The application is developed with PowerBuilder 8.0.3 and PB PFC. Both the local and the central database is Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.5.05. The graphical part of the application is handled by the 3rd party software, Graphical Editor Toolkit 5.5 (ActiveX) from Tom Sawyer Software. Graphs are handled by either internal PowerBuilder graph capabilities or by embedded OLE objects (Microsoft Graph Chart objects).
