Gesture-to-Speech ASL Translator
I designed and implemented a real-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter that captures hand gestures via webcam and accurately predicts their corresponding meanings using advanced deep learning and computer vision algorithms. The system forms coherent sentences from recognized gestures and offers a seamless text-to-speech feature to further enhance communication. Built with Python, TensorFlow, Keras, and integrated through a user-friendly Tkinter GUI, the project bridges communication gaps for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, enabling smoother interaction with the hearing population.
