My name is Alison and I am almost 30 years old. I have been lucky enough in life to have achieved some fantastic things. I completed a BA Degree in 2000 with a major in Piano Performance, and also a Diploma of Education, leading me into a role as a music teacher. At the time and in my early 20's, I decided to move to Melbourne from Adelaide to pursue my deepest, secret love - FASHION! Having no background in the industry, I began as a casual sales assistant and developed my own language of selling. Over the years I exceeded expectations and was continuously promoted and eventually became the National Retail Manager for one of Australias top fashion houses, Alannah Hill. Since leaving Alannah in 2006 I have worked as a consultant for Scanlan and Theodore and am currently working with Sportsgirl. My passion is 'the sale' and have also progressed into writing - an avenue outside the retail environment where I can still sell and promote fantastic product. My levels of service are exceptional and I leave 'no stone unturned'. If we work together you will see that I am passionate, hardworking, punctual and can deliver and drive sales results. As a freelance writer I have written for restaurants, travel blogs, accessory and clothing labels. My technique is personal yet creative. I undertand that to buy a product, the language I use needs to conjure up imagery for the customer. This is a skill I pride myself on and have experienced many successes. As you will see from my professional CV, I have an extensive retail background. I believe I can offer the right 'fit' any company and would love to talk further.
