The goals for this project were clear: Completely revamp the website. Make it look fresh, make it manageable and rock solid. The work done for Bestplace Corporation included website design, flash design and development, and CMS development mainly. It also included the implementation of multilingual features (including SEO). I have more than 10 years of experience in developing web applications, maintaining information systems and leading development projects. I have extensive knowledge in PHP and ASP, but also C#, ASP.NET MVC and Sharepoint installation and configuration. My experience in database design and administration includes mainly MySQL and SQL Server. I have been involved in the hosting industry in the early days of my career, which gave me insights into systems administration (Windows and Linux), server software installation and configuration (Apache, IIS, BIND, Exim, Dovecot), and web application security (OWASP best practices).
