The artist behind the Aggravated owl is BA/Hons graduate Richard J. Powell.
Never found without his overflowing sketchbook, which he made himself as he couldn't buy one that did what he wanted, it seemed logical to become a professional illustrator for a living.
He now makes a living selling prints of his work as well as taking commissions, supplying concept art and finished pieces of art and finished art for books, comics and anyone who will hire his hand.
-Gradated in 2005 from U.W.C.N, the University of Wales international
film schools animation degree course.
-His degree film 'Anima' won the best innovation award of the 2005 IFSW awards.
He has a nice brassy trophy to prove it.
-Completed and passed a foundation degree in the creative arts from Cheltenham College in 2002.
-Endlessly drawing from an early age he passed easily through art and design courses in GCSE and A-level at the Crypt school of Gloucester.
Richard's work was displayed reguarly in the school lobby as well, as winning prizes for his work within the yearly art shows.
Constantly doodling and sketching Richard has a passion for video games, animated film and their concept design work.
When not working Richard can be found dressing in old style costume in his musketeer block with the 17th centaury battle re-enactment society, the sealed knot.
