SKYBEAM
SKYBEAM is one of the nation’s largest fixed wireless broadband service providers. Through subsidiaries, they provide wireless broadband internet and digital voice telephone service to residential and business customers in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois and Wisconsin. I was contracted through Webolutions to design and develop a single WordPress theme that could easily be used (and shared) by all 10 of their subsidiaries. While content would remain consistent, the logo and color palette for each would be different. Furthermore, the theme needed to be developed in a way that would allow additional sites to be added with minimal effort. Using custom admin panels in WordPress, widget plugins, and color variables in LESS CSS, adding a new subsidiary site is a piece of cake. Several features of the site include: responsive web design, retina ready images, HTML5 and LESS CSS integration, custom graphics, font icon integration, and a responsive pricing table.
