The football association, commonly known as football, is a sports game between two teams consisting of eleven players with a spherical ball. This game is played by 250 million players in 200 countries, making it the most popular sport in the world. The game takes place on a rectangular field with a gate on either end of it. The goal of the game is to score a goal in the opposing goal.
Goalkeepers are the only players who can touch the ball with their arms and wings while they are in the penalty area. Other players outside the area use pins to hit or hit the ball, but can also use the head. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the result is equal to the end of the match, the match is either considered a draw or the match goes into overtime or penalty kicks by applying the compensation format. The rules of football were set in England by the English Football Federation in 1863. The international governing body of the football association is the International Football Association Federation which holds the World Cup once in four years.
