Change Connection to Native SQL
Add Connection form
Add Depreciation module
- Can you write for me the Store Procedure that generates the price list in SQL? It should accept a date (201403) and returns:
o Date/Product/Account Sub/Account/Price in $/Price in €
- Most of the main things are done in theAPP, what remains is small changes that can be identified only when the user start using the APP.
In the meantime can you quote me on the following new project:
I have another app (Expensz) that is used by finance to capture expenses.
- I need to change the connection from ODBC to Native SQL, as you did with Logix, and add the form that accepts SQL Server/DB/Username/Password
- I need to it to have a utility that will populate records for depreciation
o Example I create an expense for a Computer I bought, it should depreciate over 4 years (4X12=48) it should then generate 48 expense records with the price of the computer divided by 48, but also keep the main(parent) expense.
o On the main expense if I tick Depreciate then the Box for Months will appear with a defaut of 48,
o and a button “Create Depreciations” and “Delete Depreciation” will appear, if I click “Create Depreciations” it creates 48 expenses with the line items I ticked to depreciate, over the next 48 months.
o The only difference between the original and the new 48 expenses is the dates (starting current date, going 48 in the future) and the amount (divided by 48)
o Also the newly created expenses must have Parent Expense field populated as the original expense.
o Then create a new TAB on the Main expense (show only if it has depreciations children) to list all 48 depreciations
o List the expenses one by one, with a button to open each
o If a user open then it displays like a normal expense
o By going to Search
o Add a tick box “Display Depreciation” By ticking this it will show the children and hide the Parent expense
o Add the logic of stopping people deleting the parent expense if there is children expenses
Also please Default the Period to current year on the main form
