We have a website and want to develop three very simple widgets (Mac OSX Dashboard widget, google widget, and a Vista widget) that allow our users to load information into their accounts.
The widgets should start by asking for the username and password and send them via https to our site. My server script will return a secure string that can be saved and used to validate the user on future requests (the password and username will not be saved for security). The widgets should be able to notify the user when the username/password are incorrect and allow them to try again. Then, once the user has been validated, the widget consists of a simple text box and a submit button. The user will enter the text and press the "submit" button. A status window and associated image will show the response from the server (success or invalid input) so the user can verify that their info was sent correctly. There should also be a "log out" link that forces the widget to forget the secure string.
If you've developed widgets before, this should be a very fast project for you. All server side scripting will be provided by us. We will also provide the graphical design for the widgets in photoshop. We also want our site logo to be on the widget and linked to our homepage.
