Bidgigz is a site where users can post home projects and other needs for other users to place bids to earn money showcasing their personal skills and passions as services for other users. The way the site works is that any user can post their project, and on the flip side bid on another user’s project. Users will set up profiles in which they can upload pictures and portfolios of past projects and advertisement.
After a poster posts a job, they will receive bids from other users then browse the bidders’ portfolios and re-views before awarding the bid of their desired cost. Bidders can browse jobs, “gigs”, that match their skill set within a selected range of geographical location based on zip codes. Users can message other users, however, personal information, such as phone number and address, may not be exchanged until the bid is awarded and funds have been encumbered. Milestones can be set, funded, and released upon approval. There should also be a dispute management process. The site should be user friendly and alerts should go to users’ primary email addresses for updates regarding notifications on the site such as new messages, bid status, payment requests, etc... Authentication will be required before users can access the complete site. For security purposes, bidders will need bnk accounts or PyPl accounts (or something similar) to receive their funds. There may be other required features in this phase in which you will be updated as I think of them.
