Website should still be responsive, so we want working solution also for mobile and tablet.
Possible AJAX won't be a good solution there (e.g for mobile).
Most effort, optimizing user experience, should be for web, and after web follows tablets, and then mobile.
We will attach mockups for desktop, tablet and mobile. We want you to produce similar to these, doesnt have to be exact.
For mobiles we will discuss about the best solution for switching between the left and right pane.(e.g arrow)
Requirements for forum:
(#Req2) A layout similar to the attached mockups, with both topic and posts loading at the same page. We think this requires AJAX or similar technics.
(#Req3) The drop down menu (see attached "Forum - [url removed, login to view]" at top of the left column) should include selections of
(a.) what forums/category to show
(b.) filter-category named "Latest topics" shows latest topics (for all forums).
(#Req4) When opening the forum from the menu, the latest topics should be opened in the left pane ("Latest topics" selected), and the latest started topic should also be opened in the right pane.
(#Req5) Left pane loads 50 topics (or custom). It should be scrollable, similar to the one in the mockup. Loads next 50 when press buttons at the bottom.
(#Req6) Right pane loads 10 posts (or custom). Loads next 10 when press buttons at the bottom.
(#Req7) Solution switching between the left and right pane on mobiles. After topic should be directed to the right pane where you can read it.
(#Req8) On tablets and mobile, the avatar must be above instead of left of the text.
Forum - remote get and add posts (forum API)
(#Req9) With remote client, eg. Web-form at another site (or to be prefered a C++ - client), fetch and present (e.g any textformat) forum-posts according to some filter or search-frases. Provide us with this sample code.
(#Req10) As #Req9, make a post to the forum. (if possible with attached picture), including posting with a login-profile.
We are using the software "Help & Manual" to create the manual for our product. In this product we get an html output, that should integrate with the web-page (one of the Wordpress-pages should simply just frame it in). Note that the manual is not imported to Wordpress.
The theme has a search bar on the start page. By default it only searches whats called the "Knowledge base"-section. We want this to also search our manual.
