I need an experienced IT professional that can at my SQL Server 2005 connection issues. Here’s what the problem is:
1. No website on the server can connect to the “EasilyWealthy” database by using this account.
2. I cannot connect to my SQL Server from my personal workstation – I have SQL 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 installed on my local system and yet I cannot connect. I use the “SQL Native Client” drivers that are specially designed for SQL 2005 and yet whenever I try to connect within VS 2005 I get an error message that reads, “Client unable to establish connection.” I never had this problem with SQL 2000 – so I don’t understand why this is so difficult with SQL 2005
3. I cannot establish an ODBC connection via the “ODBC Data Source Administrator” that’s found within the Control Panel – I go into the “System DSN” tab and go through the steps to create a connection by using the “SQL Native Drivers” as I should and yet I get an error message that says, “Client unable to establish connection. Connection failed. Timeout Expired.”
Now, I’ve done all I could on the actual SQL server box. SQL Server 2005 is currently using TCP/IP - port 1433 – I also configured it to allow remote connections – basically, I don’t know what else it could be.
So, I need somebody to look into this – to find out exactly what’s wrong with my SQL Server and configure it so that it will allow connections. I need to be able to connect to the server so that I can continue with my work.
For the right person – this should be an easy problem to fix – but, I do need my server fixed right away – this is an URGENT request...
