We have put together a book in InDesign CS that is approx. 180 pages. On each page is a 4-color image, which is either an illustration or a background image. Also on every page is text which is conveyed using the Papyrus EF font in the color "Chinese Red" with variants of shadow depending upon the section of the book.
The InDesign file is composed of an Introduction, seven chapters and a post-logue. To date, our smallest file-size, while converting the book to a PDF is around 38MB. We are hoping to bring the file size down to 10MB or less without losing any of the picture quality or adding any pixilation to the presentation.
We have set up the dimensions of the book at 6"x9" and have not changed the dimensions while compiling the book into a PDF - perhaps that is where some of the file size will be saved, that is your job to find out.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge of InDesign to the extent that they know what we are looking for in an eBook that we can make available for download on our website, that will not take long to transfer, will retain its asthetic quality, and will conform to the dimensions of the printed page when displayed on the viewer's monitor. PDF format is not absolutely necessary as long as the previous criteria are met.
An example of what we have been able to create on our own may be found at the following location: [url removed, login to view] - click on "Special Preview" then on the page that follows, on the "eBook" icon. The file was too large to upload here at Freelancer, which is why we included the link above.
We look forward to hearing from you as we are eager to complete this project.
