This project is a proof of concept and the aim is to draw 5000 filled rectangles in the fastest amount of time. (50 columns, 100 rows)
You can can use the <[url removed, login to view]> library or any other open source library. I am open to suggestions if you know of a faster way of drawing 2D objects in WPF.
The code must be compatible with WPF and silverlight.
**It must also show the number of frames per second. (so the code to draw the rectangles must be in a loop that lasts about 10 seconds.)**
A picture of what needs to be displayed is attached. (As you can see nothing complicated is required.)
I will choose the code that has the highest frames per second.

The height and width of the rectangles will depend on the size of the window they are displayed in. I will run the code with the screen maximised. There is a sample solution I put together on GDrive. It is more of a hack than anything so it may or may not be useful, but will give you an idea of what I am after. [url removed, login to view] The GPU is available as well.
