This is actually a project with two websites and an application that need to be built and designed.
1. Wedding app/website:
Application hooks into google calendar, iPhone calendar and blackberry calendar, facebook
It automatically enters about 50 reminders about wedding planning. The Bride needs to fill out her wedding date before the app starts working. Then the dates are calculated and bride gets reminder 1 week before the individual date that was calculated.
Example - 12 months before, book your photographer. On 12 month and one week before she will get the reminder "book your photographer in the next month".
We will also need to capture the wedding budget.
We need to get the person to know about the app when she is in front of the computer so she can fill out her budget. Or maybe we can ask her the total budget and a little program will spit out the price range that she must look at for each supplier. She can then go and amend the amounts if she wants to and as she gets to know the market prices better. Here she will also be able to tick a checkbox next to the amount. ‘Allow suppliers in this price range to contact me’. She must also be able to change her requirements at any time. This will be prompted again when her reminder for the specific supplier comes up.
If we do this app in facebook, then we already have all the personal info and the client does not have to go through all the trouble to fill out all the details again. This will also help by filtering sabotages and people that are not real brides-to-be.
Then once this app is installed, it will also give you the option to install in on your phone or mobile advice so that the reminders pop up there.
2: The hub/website for the wedding supplier:
Here the wedding supplier will be able to buy leads for certain dates.
Date, venue and price range will be listed in a list view. Next to it, a price tag. The higher the budget, the higher the price tag. The supplier can then select those leads that he wants to buy. A certain lead can only be sold up to 5 times. This will avoid that the user is bombarded by suppliers. There is also premium lead price. This enables the supplier to "buy out" the lead so that others cannot bid for this. This price is much higher.
The bride will than be notified by email of the supplier that will be contacting her once the lead is bought. This email will give her all the details of the supplier if she wishes to contact him. In fact, it also logs the details into a dashboard for her. This dashboard contains all her suppliers. She can enter people here that did not come from the app. This will be her hub to do her wedding budgeting from.
How will we filter out people that are not real so that bad leads are not bought by Suppliers and degrades our product?
That app will be tested in South Africa, but we will work on an International app as well. f
