My site requirements are:
My site needs to have a blog, forums, shop. These systems must be designed using my custom soft-light suite which gives basic functionality to all of the aforementioned requirements but needs to be customized for our individual needs. The soft-light system uses a MVC design approach and is theme-able with a Block content system where you can code reusable blocks. The shop and site needs to have a REST API so that the phone app we have can connect, also the shop must also have a REST API so that our server can connect to it as we have our own steam-like software that relies on the shop. The account system for all of the aforementioned systems must be integrated, the site needs to have a achievement system that check your actions and tracks certain things like, how many times you login and how many times you post on the forums or comment on a blog post. The blocks must be in-line editable, (which isn't hard the system handles most of that, just the UI/Code for the edit component needs to be done. The forums must have all the default functionality of forums with the custom content of clans for our games, members must be able to search and apply for clans, if accepted their clan will show up on their profile and in posts. This goes the same for the organization system which is like a clan but different in several ways that don't matter to this job. The clan must have it's own page with info about the clan and a list of it's members, the site needs to have a shout-box and make use of web-sockets and a server to push instant content to the shoutbox as soon as the user hits the enter key. The shoutbox MUST clearly display the rank and group of the user the site must also have a support-ticket system for users experiencing issues with our products and reuse the shoutbox for a private-chat system for our service reps. The blog system must allow for easy adding of content, as our writers aren't coders. It must be easy to add media objects to our system like images and videos. Mostly all of the systems will make use of web sockets for instant content changes when added. If the user doesn't want instant content they can turn it off or the the users browser doesnt support web sockets it will easily downgrade to the normal website.
Our current site has most of these systems, our current site was pretty much a test to make sure these systems are viable and they are just need to be planned out and coded better. Think of our current site as a prototype and now the final release model needs to be planned and produced.
