I have an existing website, based on flash, which is linked to a wordpress blog. I want to migrate the structure – text, page structure, links and the blog into a wordpress theme named caveat ([url removed, login to view]). I also want to add images and some extra features using wordpress plugins – most importantly an e-commerce shop.
The existing site is a business website – it displays details on a range of specialist consultancy services. It has 35 pages including links to the blog and external sites and a Contact Form. These existing pages will be reduced to 28 but with the addition of the e-commerce shop. This will offer paid for downloads from links in the existing site and the blog posts.
Task 1 is to import the existing logo, text, blog posts, sound, links and structure - into the caveat wordpress theme, add images and test that it functions correctly. This will include ensuring that all links are working and that the contact form is working correctly. The site must then be tested and checked free from malware. The new site must be uploaded and then pointed to the existing site url ([url removed, login to view]) and the blog must be pointed to the existing site blog url: (: [url removed, login to view]). The current text will be provided by the client as an excel file.
Task 2 is to add the following features into the new, caveat theme wordpress site: Google Map, Request Additional Information, QR Code, e-commerce shop with document download from site and document upload. Note that the e-commerce shop provides two forms of ‘products’:
a. Downloads of MS Excel files, image files (PNG and JPEG) and word documents in PDF format.
b. Access to data in Premium blog posts below their ‘read more’ section and the ability to download the blog post as a PDF file.
This project is suitable to an individual or small team of wordpress experts. The prime requirements are possessing the skills sets and the time available to complete the work on time.
The successful freelancers will be familiar with wordpress and wordpress plug-ins including e-commerce. They will have experience of upgrading existing sites to wordpress using current design themes and content such as icons, sliders, counters, parallax, etc. They will be familiar with HTML, CSS and MySQL.
Budget and Payments:
The maximum budget for this project is $200. Payments will be via freelancer.com against work completed according to agreed milestones. No milestone payments will be made in advance. Placeholder bids will not be accepted. Bids beyond the budget will not be given a response

Summary: The website showcases my services and is also connected with a blog. The task is to implement a new website using the caveat theme and also include the e-commerce feature for the excel/pdf so whenever a user want to download any of the excel/pdf from the blog they have to purchase or pay some amount to me.
1. How will the e-commerce features work on the website and do you need to include any payment gateway for the user to purchase the download when paying the funds?
E-Commerce: the e-commerce feature will work as follows:
A. User reads short blog post and wants to download an attachment - could be excel file or pdf.
Attachment is available after payment of a small fee
B. User reads introduction section of longer blog post and wishes to read more.
Rest of blog post and pdf copy is available after payment of small fee
Is a Payment Gateway required?
2. Does the user get to read the blog post before paying for it?
If the blog post is short, the user can read it all. They only pay a fee if there is a download attached and they wish to purchase that additional item.
However, if the blog post is long the user will only be able to read the introduction which will be limited by a 'Read More' button. To read more they must pay a small fee.
On payment of the fee, the user gets access to the blog post on the site and an download a copy of the blog post as a PDF
3. When the user pays to download an item on the site, do you need to save the information to a user account? Or will the download be available for a particular time period?
There should be no need to save data to a user account. The download will be available once only. If the user has a problem with a download they will need to contact site admin
4 How do you want to use the existing music on the site?
I would like to keep the existing music with the site visitor able to control whether it plays or not in their own browser by clicking a music start/stop button.
5. Is there any subscription applied to the users?
My intention is that users are simply visitors, not signed up subscribers.
6. How tight deadline is the five day deadline to complete the project?
I would like to complete this in one week but I'm open to suggestions
7. Can we put forward a bid that is over our budget of 200 USD?
If you think the time taken is greater than the budget allowed you must amend your bid or suggest the price you wish to charge.
