We are looking to build a website that will allow consumers to order art services. Customers would need the ability to easily upload multiple pictures and select add-on services to their purchase. On the back end we would like to post orders with the uploaded pictures to be available to a team of artists who would sign in and pull orders to fulfill the requests. Artist would upload the final product to be posted on the site along with original photos above the comment area. We would like a store to sell merchandise such as frames for hard copy prints/drawings. We need to be able to add galleries to display different types of artwork. The original artwork and or merchandise would be shipped/mailed. If this venture is successful - we want to create sister sites with similar structure but different end products.
The only two examples for websites relative to some of the functionality we can find is “[url removed, login to view]” and “[url removed, login to view]” although both concepts are different, uploading photos (myDanvici), ordering and posting final drawings (cat site) are similar functions. The cat site has sister sites listed at the bottom of the home page. Example sites do not allow for posting the original photos for a before and after display. Other sites that have various functions we like are “[url removed, login to view]” such as the "in que" and "express" options along with the “add-on” services. On “[url removed, login to view]” the consumer is able to tip the expert or in this case they would have the ability to tip the artist. This site “freelancer.com” has some similar functions as well such as the uploading of pics and display of others work product.
The website would show status of order and email updates would automatically be sent each time the status of the order changes including the tracking number once the product is shipped or notification if sent via standard mail. The final artwork would be posted (blog style) with the ability to share to several mediums, email, twitter, facebook, youtube, pinterest and instagram. The site must be able to process payment 24/7 and select various shipping options from UPS to Express. We would also need the ability to post videos on the site and share.
At the end of the day, we need to be able to trust and communicate well with the developer so that we can create a user friendly website for people who seek an artistic product, provide artists opportunities to create and make $$ and the opportunity for customers to share the before and after results through social mediums.
We are looking for a fair cost to launch the site, estimated time to completion and direction/cost to maintain the site. Best case is that we are able to independently maintain and update the site as much as possible except where technical improvements are needed. We want to start as small and simple as possible and grow based on the demand for the product/services. Please let us know if you are interested in the project and direct us to where we can view sites you have developed. Ask as many questions as you would like – we are also open to suggestions. We just need to cross this finish line and meet as many of our goals as possible at a reasonable cost and within a reasonable time frame. This is a start-up venture and funding is conservative, we may need to reduce functionality if cost is to high as long as we can provide a fundamental platform to accomplish what we need to launch the website.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
