Aim

The overall aim of the project is to launch a new online shop front on an industry standard platform that is easily maintained and can be updated into the future. Magento would be the preferable platform.

Requirements

The new site should:-

• Reflect the Brand and give a feel of aspirational quality

• Link to Sage Line 50 accounting

• Link to third party fulfilment agents (drop shipping and PalletLine) by XML file

• Use a standard open source software platform - Magento

• Home page and all site pages should be optimised for search engines

this will include, but not be limited to friendly URLs, title, tags......

• be optimised for mobile devices

• be built on a platform that is capable of integrating with other relevant business systems at a future stage (to be discussed)

Functionality

CMS Functionality includes:-

• multiple users

• image bank & video clips with the ability to add, amend and delete ALT tags

• e-commerce capability

• option to exclude pages from search function

• related links

• centralised documents

• create forms

• download documents (option to request details)

• partner/customer login

• automated email with new login details

• customer can generate new login details

• customise header

• data mining

It may be possible to use a Magento Theme if we can find a suitable theme.

The site should be ready to go ‘live’ with a presence in early October 2012, the project should be completed by mid October 2012.

Details of similar or relevant projects are required.

We will be requiring URLs and an opportunity to speak with a client.

Developers wishing to be considered for the development of this project should provide an estimate of total cost for development of the new website as well as showing a clear breakdown of the component parts as identified.

The criteria for award of contract will be based on:

- Comprehensiveness of response to requirements

- Experience in similar or related projects

- Proposed price and overall value for money

- Ability to meet timescales
