Membership website for listing of items for trade. Your bid must include 2 updates to the finished product.
Various shades of blue and green – nothing neon or extremely bright.
Must be user friendly even for novice Internet users.
Please build a membership enrollment site for patch traders with membership functions. There will be four trading disciplines (categories), and members will be limited to the number of categories they can trade in based on how much they pay. The site will be a directory/listing website for patch traders to view available patches for trade. We do not sell patches, just memberships to view patches. Members can post a photo of agency patch or other patches that they want to trade, up to 3 photos. Photos need to be optimized at 100 X 100 pixels. Please make this an auto function.
There should be 3 levels of participation: Level 1 members can post 1 photo and trade in 1 discipline; Level 2 members can post 2 photos and trade in 2 disciplines and Level 3 members can post 3 photos and trade in all disciplines.
Members will be able to post name, agency, email address, country, state, county, province, etc. Unposted information will include address and telephone number for administrative purposes.
The 4 Disciplines are as follows: Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Military, and Federal Law Enforcement.
© Police, Sheriff,
© K-9, Tribal, etc.
Military will include:
© Air Force,
© Coast Guard and
© National Guard.
Federal Law Enforcement will include:
© Forest Service and
© US Fish & Wildlife.
Members should be able to email another member to solicit a trade or purchase through the email links on the website. A private trade or purchase will ensue.
Membership term is for 1 year.
When searching other patches members will search areas based on country, state and provinces. The search will begin on a page with a global map silhouette in the background. The search will be initiated by entering desired county on a search link, i.e., United States, Canada, Australia, etc. For example if United States is searched then it will be necessary to ask for a particular state.
Members can: post their own photos; edit their message; delete their account; edit email posting and log onto private site on web page.
Admin can: edit users; send email to members; ban users; approve registration of accounts & photos.
Need ability: for affiliate links, to upload pictures with auto sizing – optimizing, after log-in be able to go to your page to edit photo display text.
Site should be designed at 800 X 600 screen resolution.
“Your Premier Site for Patch Trading Worldwide” should be integrated into the banner at top of page. Within the banner will be a world map with no topography or country delineation (basically a silhouette but should not be black) on the left side. The words Global Patch [url removed, login to view] should be in the lower right hand corner circling a globe. (See [url removed, login to view] as an example).
Text should appear directly below the banner: “Trade your agency patches worldwide in Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS and Military. The objective of this site is to provide a forum for serious patch traders to connect with each other in all disciplines: city police, highway patrol, sheriff, tribal, FBI, corrections, firefighters, EMS, army, navy, air force, marines and coast guard, etc.”
Nav Bar will appear directly below the text with buttons for: 1) member login, 2) register now, 3) about us, 4) free account, 5) my account and 6) tell a friend. Buttons should be miniature patches.
Below the Nav Bar the remainder of the Home Page will be divided into quarters and will be labeled as follows: Law Enforcement Patches, Military Patches, Fire/EMS Patches and Federal Law Enforcement Patches. Each square will have a black & white figure depicting the discipline with the uniform patch in color, (for example a black & white figure of a police officer with his patch showing in color). This figure should be placed in the center of the square. Clicking on the figure will take you to the world map to begin trading in that discipline.
Background watermark showing world map, should cover entire page. Place search box in the middle of the page to type in the country you wish to begin searching (type in United States, Canada, Europe, etc.). Based on data it will pull up the listings in that country. Search will be based on data collected at time of registration.
