Looking for an experienced web developer to build a CMS add-on which will serve a simple web UI to users to back up their emails and manage their backups.
Please note that the proposed budget is the actual target budget we are aiming to stay in - the tool is intended to be a simple script that performs the simple task of downloading *.eml files from authenticated mailboxes into an archive file (think *.zip / *.[login to view URL] etc.)
The CMS add-on will add UI and controls to a web page, which will allow users to authenticate with multiple email accounts.
The plugin will connect to the authenticated mail accounts and will perform periodic archiving of email filed from the inboxes to the site’s local storage on a regular basis. The backup files should be compressed and encrypted when saved - an IT admin will be able to manually download and decrypt the archives of all users when required, but this will not be done through the tool (it will be done over a remote connection to the server itself).
The front end will be very minimalistic but should be mobile-friendly.
The backend infrastructure will be provided and the user management will be done by the CMS.
The preferred CMS for the add-on to be developed for is WordPress.
