Custom Static Website Development

I’m looking for a developer who can hand-code a fast, lightweight, and fully responsive static website. I don’t want WordPress, Shopify, or any other off-the-shelf CMS; the site must be completely custom-built so that the codebase stays lean and easy to extend later. Core functionality is intentionally minimal—there’s no need for user authentication, payment processing, or a back-end content manager right now. What matters most is clean HTML5, well-structured CSS3 (or a sensible utility framework if it speeds things up), and unobtrusive JavaScript where interactive elements are required. Deliverables • All source files (HTML, CSS, JS, images) organised and clearly named • A brief README explaining file structure and deployment steps • Cross-browser testing proof (modern versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) • Performance score above 90 on Google Lighthouse mobile and desktop Once the final zip passes those checks, I’ll consider the project complete.
