We are a Medical company in Greece, using a fax/mail management system built on an Access database. Emails with, automatically, attached word documents sent up to a certain specified address (fax server) then subsequently they’re converted to fax and are transferred to our customers .
The documents (.rtf) were marked as “send” in a field on database (by changing a numerical status) and they were transferred to an existing directory called “send”. At this time the server is trying to send the faxes and when it is achieved (or not) this, is returning an e-mail marked “delivered” or “non-delivered” respectively. Unfortunately the subject field, of the send e-mails, does not contain anything except a label (managed by us inside the program) so the returned notice, from the server, cannot be traced because the subject field can’t be used for this purpose.
What we need is an application, using Outlook Express, that it will grab the header of the attached file and then if the returned e-mail notice, from the server, contains the mark “ “something”/Non-Delivery Notice/”header of the word document” , to automatically process the specified word document, with the same header, from the directory “send” to an existing directory “failed”. Simultaneously, the field inside the access databases, that is responsible for marking the documents must be returned from 3 to 2 , for the particular document.
