I need a small desktop application that acts like a search engine (I can search for specific data).
The concept is very simple. It has to do the following:
1. I can upload an excel spreadsheet that has about 20 columns of data to the desktop application (columns are: First Name,Last Name, Address, State, Zip, etc.). Please note: I will be uploading data to the application every single day (each list contains nearly 2000 rows of data). There also has to be a feature that will allow me to delete a
specific spreadsheet or a range of upload dates so the volume of the list does not get too big after about 6 months of continous uploads.
2. The application will allow me to search data by specific fields. The following are search fields: First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, TicketNumber.
3. Once I search by the fields...it will display all the matches and then when I click on a particular match, it will display all the detailed information for that particular row in the excel spreadsheet on the application (first name, last name, etc.)
(I will provide a sketch of what I am exactly looking for so you get an idea. It's difficult to explain by words).
4. I also need a sophisticated activation mechanism. I need to be able to provide the software to others but with only 1 activation code. Once that code has been used,they need another code to place it on another computer, etc. I can set the activation codes, etc.
5. I want this application to look really nice and professional.
I need this as soon as possible. Also, I need the search to be fast. I don't want to wait around for 30-40 seconds while it searches the database.
