I need someone who is familiar with Intuit Software Development Kit to complete a project that is due on Tuesday March 29th, so I need to find someone quickly. In this project the following things needs to be accomplished:
Updating Estimate Change Orders to Sales Orders and Updating of Estimates from Sales Orders
A daily batch process needs to be be run that will review each active Estimate, and compare it to the matching Active Sales Order (Job Order). This process will determine if a change order has been issued and update the Sales Order accordingly, and also determine if any additional lines have been added to the Sales Order, determine if they are already part of the Estimate (using ordered parts) or if it is an addition to the Sales Order that is not present on the Estimate, in which case the Estimate will be updated. This will all be based on Item Numbers so that there is no confusion if the item description differs.
Each document will be compared line by line and changes made accordingly, whether it is to insert a line on the Sales Order if it is present on the Purchase Order but not the Sales Order, or vice-versa.
I have started coding this module, but I have gotten stuck trying to write out estimates with multiple detail lines.
This report will combine the Estimates, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders and Payroll records to print out a report that will show the costs to date for each item on a job, compared to what was originally budgeted. This report will use retail pricing to show the progress of each job. Totals will be provided by job and then, if desired (and possible) by Foreman, and then, again if desired, by company. It’s my goal to have the report print as part of a daily routine (1st thing in the morning, or last thing at night), and print as one large report. We can also add logic that will allow you to print the report for a specific job (based on Sales Order Number or Job Number), and again if the information is available, for a specific foreman. This will allow you to pull reports for active or completed jobs.
The active Sales Orders will be used as the source to determine which jobs are still in progress, and only those jobs will be included in the report when the regular report is being run. And then there will be the option to pull a report for ANY job based on the Sales Order Number or Job Number.
Work-in-Progress (WIP) Report
This report will basically perform the same processing as the Foreman’s report, except the totals will be based on the cost of the items, as opposed to the retail of the items. Totals will be provided by job and then, if desired, by company. Again, we can also add logic that will allow you to print the report for a specific job (based on Sales Order Number or Job Number). This will allow you to pull reports for active or completed jobs.
In this report, the active Sales Orders will again be used as the source to determine which jobs are still in progress, and print reports only for those jobs when the regular report is being run. And then again, there will be the option to pull a report for ANY job based on the Sales Order Number or Job Number.
Since most of the logic for this report will already exist from the Foreman’s report, the development time for this report will be approximately 3 hours.
Creation of Dashboard -
A dashboard will be created to run each of these functions.
You will need to have a copy of QuickBooks Enterprise, at least version 10.0. If you don't have one, I might be able to provide it for you. I would also like to see a sample of your work.
I took on this project when things were slow. Now I am swamped and running out of time to complete this. I am a QuickBooks Advanced Certified ProAdvisor/Licensed Certified Public Bookkeeper by trade, not a programmer (anymore. I used to be). This could lead to additional work.
