I need an expert in Blender to help me export a 3D model from Blender to FBX so I can use it from Microsoft's XNA. This is not a 3D modelling work; you will need to use Blender to export the model correctly (maybe changing some parameters), but no new modelling will be required.
Our company is starting a new project and the person who completes this project will be preferred for further similar work.
I have purchased this model:
<[url removed, login to view]> that I need to load into an XNA application, using the Reach profile. I took the 3DS file, exported to FBX using Autodesk FBX Converter. Now the FBX file is playable in FBX Viewer, but only some textures work. Then I tried this newly-exported file in my C# code. Visual Studio then complains that the texture files aren't in the same folder as the model now (not in the absolute path from the original file, which is good). I put the textures in the same folder as the model, and the project builds. I have other examples of FBX models from the same site that work just fine on both Windows and WP7.
When I open the model on Blender, it renders perfectly fine, except for one texture. Loading the model onto my XNA code renders only the texture that is not correctly rendered on Blender. All the rest (which works on Blender) goes black on XNA.
The deliverables for this project are:
1) Model correctly exported from Blender to FBX and working on XNA and AutoDesk FBX Viewer, though the latter is optional.
2) Short description of what was done on Blender to make exports work correctly.
