I am looking for a highly skilled VFX artist for a feature-length film (90 minutes in length).
The film is about the Syrian refugee crisis in France, interwoven with the world of street art.
It is a completely independent project (no financiers or producers yet). I am shooting and directing it myself.
In the film the characters create a series of street art murals (using a mix of spray paint, regular paint and wheatpaste to create their designs on buildings throughout Paris). Your job as a VFX artist will be to translate these images into the scenes. We will not actually be doing any real-life street art... rather, filming the space with the actors and you will be filling in the designs as if they are creating them. So it needs to be absolutely realistic looking. There are also scenes of sketch drawings in notebooks. These will be translated into the frames by you as well. You will be given the images ahead of time and your job will be to make it come to life in the most realistic way possible.
The camera being used is a Canon 5D Mark II.
Footage will be uploaded to you using WeTransfer. You will need to keep the files organized and will be making final high resolution exports to the editor. I will be coordinating with you on the ground and sending you photos and test footage from the locations we will be filming at. I will need to see samples of your previous work as well as a mock sample of what you can create for this project as well.
Please send CV and samples upon responding to this message. Add the words "STREET ART" to the top of your response message, otherwise I will know you have not read this message in its entirety and will skip you.
