Davinci Video Editor for YouTube channel

We are looking for a highly skilled video editor to join our team and collaborate on editing videos for our YouTube channel. As a video editor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our content by following a specific workflow. The videos we produce typically have an average duration of 30 minutes and involve tasks such as editing, color correction, and incorporating graphics and text. While the workflow is relatively straightforward and repetitive, it allows for consistency and efficient editing. Please note that our YouTube channel is active and offers the opportunity to edit up to 10 videos per week, ensuring a consistent flow of projects to work on.

Responsibilities:

- Download video and audio files from provided sources and verify their accuracy.

- Utilize DaVinci Resolve software (version 18.1.3) to edit videos based on a predefined workflow.

- Open the files in DaVinci Resolve, manage media storage, and configure project settings (resolution, frame rate, color management, etc.).

- Arrange and trim video clips on the timeline, aligning them with provided audio files.

- Create highlights by identifying specific clips and integrating them seamlessly within the main video.

- Apply transitions, effects, and audio adjustments to ensure a polished and cohesive final product.

- Add graphical elements, such as subscribe graphics, text overlays, watermarks, and end screens.

- Perform color correction using DaVinci Resolve's color grading tools to enhance visual aesthetics.

- Adjust audio settings, including noise reduction, EQ, compression, and volume control for optimal audio quality.

- Ensure accurate spelling, proper timing, and consistency throughout the video.

Review the final rendered video to identify any issues or errors before upload.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in using DaVinci Resolve software, specifically version 18.1.3.

- Strong understanding of video editing techniques, including timeline-based editing, transitions, and effects.

- Knowledge of color correction and grading techniques to enhance visual appeal.

- Familiarity with audio editing and post-production techniques for clear and balanced sound.

- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in the final video.

- Ability to follow a predefined workflow while also incorporating creative input when necessary.

- Effective time management skills to meet project deadlines.

- Strong communication skills to clarify requirements and address any concerns or questions.

Computer Requirements:

- Proficiency in video editing software, particularly DaVinci Resolve, necessitates a powerful computer capable of handling resource-intensive tasks efficiently.

- Minimum system requirements include a fast processor (quad-core or higher), ample RAM (16GB or more), and a dedicated graphics card with at least 4GB VRAM.

- The computer should have ample storage space for video files and a high-speed internet connection for downloading and uploading large files.

- Experience with rendering high-quality videos in a timely manner is essential. Applicants should have access to a reliable computer that meets these specifications to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.

Please Note:

- This is a freelance position requiring remote work. You will be responsible for providing your own equipment and software.

- Detailed workflow and instructions will be provided, but creative input and suggestions for improvement are welcome.

- We anticipate an ongoing collaboration with regular video editing tasks, depending on the project requirements and mutual satisfaction.
