I work with Mobile App Development and Data Analytics. For your user interview, the real challenge is a sound, defensible method. A common issue: collecting data before the question and criteria are fixed, so results are hard to defend. My plan: first, agree the question, scope and inclusion criteria. Then, collect and analyze the data with a documented method. Finally, report the findings with sources and clear limitations. I'd start with the core analysis as phase one. I've done research work before, so I check early for weak sources and unclear criteria. A few questions to better understand the scope: 1. Will this be peer reviewed or published? Then I follow the reporting standard reviewers expect. 2. Document every step so the analysis can be rerun? I'd recommend it, reviewers and your team can check each number. 3.
