# Senior UX/UI Designer + React Specialist — Premium OTT Platform ### Project: RishtaTV — Premium OTT Streaming Platform We are looking for a **Senior UX/UI Designer + React Specialist** to join us in improving and scaling **RishtaTV**, a premium OTT entertainment platform. This is **not a greenfield design project**. We already have an existing product, frontend, backend, design system, navigation, video players, content modules and production code. We need someone who can understand what already exists, identify what can be improved, and then design and implement those improvements without unnecessarily breaking or rebuilding the platform. We are looking for someone with **strong product thinking, excellent visual taste and hands-on React expertise**. The person should understand what makes a streaming platform feel **premium, cinematic, intuitive and production-ready**. --- ## What You'll Work On You will work across the existing RishtaTV product and help improve the UX/UI across: * Home & content discovery * Movies * Shows & series * Channel pages * Live TV * Video player * Vertical video / Shorts * Music & Music Video * Search * Continue Watching * Watchlist * User Profile * Wallet & Rewards * Play Zone * Settings * Authentication & onboarding * Subscription / monetization * Desktop, tablet & mobile navigation * Empty, loading and error states * Admin-facing UX where required The goal is to make the entire product feel like **one cohesive OTT platform**, rather than separate modules built at different times. --- ## What We Expect You should be able to take an existing screen and ask: > **What is working? What is not? Why? How can we make it better?** You should be comfortable with: **Existing Product → UX Audit → Improvement Direction → Figma → Design System → React Implementation → QA → Refinement** You should not redesign something simply for the sake of redesigning it. We value **smart improvements, consistency, usability and product thinking** over unnecessary visual changes. --- ## UX/UI Expectations We want a premium OTT experience with a visual language that is: **Cinematic • Premium • Elegant • Modern • Minimal • Emotional • Immersive** The interface should have: * Strong visual hierarchy * Excellent typography * High-quality content presentation * Intuitive navigation * Consistent spacing * Strong responsive behavior * Thoughtful micro-interactions * Clear CTAs * Excellent loading and empty states * Accessible interaction patterns * Consistent components across the platform ### We do NOT want: * Generic SaaS dashboards * Template-based UI * Dribbble-only concepts that are difficult to build * Excessive glassmorphism * Excessive glow effects * Random gradients * Over-designed screens * Too much unnecessary text * Different button/card styles on every page * Designs that look good only in Figma but fail in production **Premium does not mean complicated.** --- # Mobile-First & Responsive Design Mobile is extremely important for RishtaTV. You must be comfortable designing and implementing experiences for: * Mobile * Tablet * Desktop * Different screen sizes and orientations You should understand: * Safe areas * Touch targets * Bottom navigation * Mobile drawers * Responsive heroes * Vertical video * Horizontal video * Mini players * Fullscreen players * Keyboard behavior * Responsive content rails * Mobile-first information hierarchy The experience should feel intentionally designed for each device — not simply a desktop layout squeezed onto mobile. --- # Video & OTT UX Experience with streaming/video products is strongly preferred. You should understand UX around: * Video players * HLS/video playback * Fullscreen * Picture-in-picture * Subtitles * Playback controls * Continue Watching * Watch history * Next episode * Horizontal video * Vertical video * Shorts * Live streaming * Music video * Mini player * Player overlays * Ad placements We already have existing player infrastructure, so the expectation is to **understand and improve the existing system**, not introduce multiple competing player experiences. --- # Design System We want a strong, reusable design system. You should be comfortable working with: * Figma Components * Variants * Auto Layout * Variables / Design Tokens * Typography systems * Color systems * Spacing systems * Responsive components * Reusable UI patterns The same interaction should look and behave consistently across the product. For example: **Primary Button should look like the same Primary Button everywhere.** The same applies to: * Cards * Badges * Inputs * Tabs * Modals * Drawers * Navigation * Hero sections * Content rails * Loading states * Error states We want **one design language across RishtaTV**. --- # React Development This role is not design-only. You should be comfortable implementing your designs in our existing frontend environment. ### Required: * React.js * TypeScript * Tailwind CSS * HTML/CSS * Responsive development * Component architecture * Git/GitHub * Figma → React implementation You should understand how to work safely with an **existing production codebase**. Refine the implementation until it matches the intended design --- # Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who combines **three things**: ### 1. Strong UX thinking You understand: > Why should this button exist? > What should happen after the user clicks it? > Is this flow actually useful? ### 2. Strong visual design You understand: > Typography, spacing, hierarchy, imagery, composition, motion and premium visual language. ### 3. Strong frontend implementation You understand: > How to turn the design into clean, responsive, maintainable React code. If you are only a Figma designer, this is **not the right role**. If you are only a React developer who follows screenshots, this is also **not the right role**.
