Dear Sir, As per your requirement, you install ubuntu as the server type that's why the screen is showing black. If you want to use desktop base ubuntu, you need to install it as GNOME base ubuntu. this option showin Flere

in grub boot menu, press edit then add "text" and remove "quite" and "splash" it will boot to text mode then we can do further troubleshooting.
