I’m putting together a small-run prototype built around an ESP32 S3, small display, micro sd card reader, speaker, and some buttons. I have much of the work completed by a previous designer, but I need help finishing it. I have a schematic, gerbers, BOM, and pick and place files - but I need help finding alternative parts that are actually in stock at JLCPCB. I also need help troubleshooting some potential design issues that Claude has found. I'm not an electrical engineer and need some hand holding to bring the project together.

HI, KINDLY READ THROUGH MY PROPOSAL I will deliver a fully buildable, JLCPCB-ready version of your ESP32-S3 prototype: updated BOM with only in-stock parts, full schematic review + fixes for all issues flagged by Claude, revised Gerbers (if needed), and clear hand-holding guidance so you can get working prototypes without being an EE. MY APPROACH ✅ Phase 1: Full review of your schematic, Gerbers, BOM and Claude’s findings. Identify every component that is out-of-stock at JLCPCB and propose 1–2 drop-in or near-drop-in alternatives (same footprint, electrical specs, and cost). ✅ Phase 2: Fix any design issues (power, signal integrity, SD card, display, speaker, button debouncing, ESP32-S3 pin conflicts, etc.), update schematic + Gerbers if required, and generate a clean “JLCPCB Assembly” BOM + CPL. ✅ Phase 3: Provide step-by-step assembly instructions, test plan, and remote support until you have working boards. DELIVERABLES • Updated schematic (KiCad or Altium — whichever you have) • Revised BOM + CPL with only JLCPCB in-stock parts (including LCSC links) • Updated Gerbers / Pick-and-Place (if changes needed) • Clear list of Claude issues + fixes applied • Assembly & first-power-up checklist + test procedure QUESTIONS 1. Can you share the schematic file, BOM (Excel/CSV), Gerbers, and Claude’s issue list now? 2. Which EDA tool was used for the original design (KiCad or Altium)? 3. How many prototype boards do you want to order in the first JLCPCB run?

Hi, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in electronic circuits and embedded system design; in particular I have a great deal of hands-on experience designing PCB layouts with the ESP32 architecture, meaning that I am particularly qualified to help you turn any existing project that is currently at the “almost finished” state into a fully functional prototype that is ready for production. I am aware of the difficulties that many designers have with sourcing components used in the ESP32-S3, particularly with there being a mismatch between the components listed in the JLCPCB library and those that are found elsewhere (such as at LCSC). I will efficiently cross-reference your bill of materials (BOM) with those components that are currently available through LCSC/JLCPCB and then also suggest alternatives that are either physically interchangeable by way of footprint or potentially interchangeable by way of function without introducing additional delays to your project. I believe that clear communication is vital to ensuring that you receive my full support. I am very willing to do “walk-throughs” of any decisions you need to make. Best Regards.

Hi! I've reviewed your project and understand you have an ESP32-S3 prototype — with schematic, Gerbers, BOM, and pick-and-place files already prepared — but need help sourcing in-stock JLCPCB-compatible alternative parts and resolving flagged design issues to get this across the finish line. I will audit your existing BOM and identify verified in-stock substitutes on JLCPCB for your display, SD card reader, speaker, and button components — maintaining electrical compatibility. I will also review the flagged design concerns systematically and walk you through each fix in plain language, so you fully understand every change made before manufacturing. I have hands-on experience with ESP32-based PCB projects and JLCPCB's parts library constraints. I'm comfortable hand-holding non-engineers through the process and can begin reviewing your files immediately. Q1: Can you share the current BOM and the specific design issues flagged so I can assess the scope before we begin? Q2: Are you targeting JLCPCB's standard SMT assembly service, or do you need a fully assembled and tested board? Thanks, Asif

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You’re very close—this is a classic “last mile” issue: BOM availability + final design sanity check. I’ve helped bring several ESP32-S3 prototypes through JLCPCB, so I can guide you end-to-end. What I’ll do: 1. BOM Fix (JLC-ready) • Replace out-of-stock parts with in-stock JLC basic/extended • Keep same footprints where possible (avoid PCB changes) • Suggest consignment only if necessary 2. Design Review (quick but critical) • Power stability (ESP32-S3 brownout risks) • SD card + USB routing • Boot strapping / pull-ups • Audio/speaker drive check • General DRC + real-world issues 3. Guided Finalization • Clean JLC upload (BOM/CPL alignment) • Fix assembly errors with you • Final checklist before ordering Deliverables: • Updated BOM (JLC in-stock) • Marked fixes (if needed) • Ready-to-order files • Clear guidance through ordering Quick question: which tool is your design in (KiCad/EasyEDA/Altium), and what parts are currently failing in JLC?

Best ESP32-S3 Prototype PCB Refinement Expert! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dear Client, The value in this project is not starting over, but taking the work you already have and turning it into a cleaner, more buildable, and easier-to-source prototype package. I can help by: 1. reviewing the current schematic, Gerbers, BOM, and pick-and-place package for practical design and assembly issues 2. identifying in-stock JLCPCB alternatives that preserve function without creating new integration problems 3. helping you close the remaining gaps so the prototype is easier to order, easier to assemble, and easier to trust This keeps the project moving forward without unnecessary redesign. Two quick questions: 1. Is your stronger priority minimum design changes or strongest manufacturability improvement? 2. Do you want the JLCPCB substitutions to stay footprint-compatible wherever possible? If you message me, I can outline the cleanest first review pass and how I would move this toward a reliable prototype build. Best regards, Prat PCB Must Innovations
