Currently my father-in-law is missing in Vientiane, Laos. He has been missing for quite some time. We have exhausted the US Embassy in Laos and the State Department. The State Department suggested that we “rattle the cage” with the Lao Government. I have a few documents that I need translated (my wife speaks Lao, but unfortunately it’s not good enough to communicate to an Ambassador. I would presume that there is a certain formality when speaking to a high ranking government official in which I would need. I would have approximately a total of five pages of text to be translated; also I would like to see if you could conference call with me on the line to the Ministry of Public Safety and a few other officials and translate. He has been missing since December 17th, 2007, and everything is moving extremely slowly. I was forewarned that it would take some time, but I believe that five months is rather excessive. I would really appreciate your services and if you could offer a discount considering the situation our family would greatly appreciate it. We have spent several thousand on airline tickets and “reward information.”
Must be fluent in FORMAL Lao, read, write and speaking. Attached is the missing poster on the US State Department Website in Vientiane, Laos.
