Hi Firex. I am a native Danish speaker and I have a very good understanding of the English language. I have experience with translating between English and Danish, but I do not have a linguistic background per se. I do not have a problem meeting tight deadlines, as long as the deadline is within a reasonable time frame. It is simply not possible to deliver a translation of 10,000 words in great quality within just a few hours. Anyone claiming this can be done is using automated translation software with only limited proof reading. To clear things out. My bid is for 1,000 words indicating a $0.05 rate per word. Hi, I'm a Danish native, although my location here on the site shows Colombia. I've lived in Bogotá, Colombia since July 2010, and since January 2012 I've been working as a freelance translator, proofreader, interpreter and English and Danish teacher for Spanish speakers. I mostly do English to Danish translations, and a few months ago I've started working for Universal Subtitles doing Danish subtitles for English spoken documentaries. I live half my life in English, so I do believe that I have a great knowledge of that language, both spoken and written, as well as of Danish and Spanish. I have a BA in Spanish from the University of Copenhagen, where language learning, translation strategies etc. was a part of the studies. My bid is 80 USD (paid to me), calculating 0.08 USD per word. This is an average price; it can be a little bit more or a little bit less, depending on the size, topic and difficulty of the project.
