The Business Development Manager will evaluate and realize opportunities by either the addition of, or the exploitation of, IP that has been developed by Optimal in pursuit of its target market.
The Business Development Manager will act as a catalyst for Optimal management and functional organizations. In pursuit of these responsibilities, the Business Development Manager will evaluate the economic benefits of product developments and marketing programs to assure an appropriate Return-On-Investment (ROI). This will be achieved by performing the following functions:

Catalyst for Management
Liaison: The BDM will work directly with Optimal upper management to communicate information on the developments of new and existing business and the progress being made against Business Plan objectives and the pursuit of its ROI objective. The BDM will also provide materials and support for presentations to potential major investors. This support may require that the BDM will make the actual presentations.
Business Planning: The BDM will develop a business planning template and implement a strategic planning process that will be communicated to 24x7Direct functional groups. The BDM will work with and counsel the functional groups in order to generate a master business-planning document for the company. A planning calendar and master schedule will be developed to facilitate business planning as a continuous process.
Strategic Markets: The BDM, on a continuous basis, will track and analyze the market for Optimal. The analysis will include the evaluation of competitors, their products, and their positions in the market. An opportunity roadmap will be created, and maintained on a continuous basis. Profiles of customers in the end user market will be developed and this profile used to evaluate product and marketing plans.
Customer Acquisition Plans: The BDM will work with the sales organization to identify specific customers within target market segments and develop CAPs (Customer Acquisition Plans) for each segment. The BDM will work directly with the sales force to assure implementation of the CAP.
Strategic Marketing: The BDM will work with marketing, sales and engineering to develop comprehensive plans and strategies that will be used to attack target market segments. A market segmentation scheme will be developed and the segments measured. Appropriate "marketing mixes" will be developed for each market segment. Product, Pricing, Promotion and Channels of Distribution evaluations will be made relative to competitors and market conditions and in light of the expected ROI.
Technology Forecasting: Modern technology forecasting techniques will be utilized to discover potential new products. At the same time developments in new technologies will be tracked and a technology roadmap developed and maintained.

+ Expertise in product & services marketing with experience in actual field sales
+ Experience in Strategy Definition & being in leadership role
+ To independently conduct product demos & services presentations
+ Coordinate with operational teams, and provide interface between operational teams and business prospects
+ Packaging our solutions and marketing these in emerging global markets.
+ Additionally contribute to our services positioning, promotion as well as help formulate go to market strategies for our overall service and product offerings.
+ To continuously scan Australian market for tenders/RFPs/opportunities that match the company’s target client profile and service offering.
+ To initiate contact with the prospects to understand the opportunities.
+ To position/present the company and its offerings to the prospect so as to have the prospect develop interest .
+ To involve key people in the management and sales organization to interact with the prospects at the appropriate time to handle appropriate queries and build confidence.
+ To continuously follow-up with prospects and build relationship.
+ Generate new business Opportunities through cold calling.
+ Identify qualified, prospective clients and develop loyal relationships over the phone within a given territory
+ Drive your own performance through research, prospecting, probing, lead generation, cold calling and closing
+ Confident with establishing contact with senior-level decision makers.
Salary will be 25k-35k
