I’ll be out at a party and need a reliable sitter to stay with my cousin at my place for the entire evening. He is on the autism spectrum; most of the time he’s perfectly content but can become frustrated if overstimulated. When that happens, putting on some jungle music usually calms him right down. I will not be telling my uncle about me going to this party so please keep this confidential He enjoys: • Playing with toys • Watching TV or movies • Reading books or being read to He also likes handling his BB gun in the backyard under close supervision, so you’ll need to be comfortable managing that activity safely or redirecting him to something else if you prefer not to allow it. He likes jungle music so please play it for him during a tantrum Please bring or pick up simple food for dinner and snacks; I won’t be able to reimburse those costs, so include that in your rate. Apart from serving meals and tidying up afterward, the main responsibility is to keep him engaged, safe, and relaxed until I return later that night. If you have experience with autistic kids, great—just let me know.

?IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY, YOU DON'T PAY.? Recently, I supported a family with a similar need, ensuring their child felt safe and engaged throughout the evening. I can help create a calm and enjoyable environment for your cousin while you are away. I understand the importance of a clean, professional, and user-friendly atmosphere for your needs, especially regarding managing overstimulation and keeping him relaxed. I have extensive experience outside of Freelancer, but I am new to Freelancer. My background includes working with children on the autism spectrum, ensuring their safety and comfort while engaging them in enjoyable activities. I look forward to discussing how I can help. Regards, MORNE.

I’d be happy to provide a free consultation to discuss how I can help with your cousin tonight. Would that work for you? Managing overstimulation is key for kids on the autism spectrum. If he gets frustrated and you’re not there, it could lead to a meltdown. That’s stressful for him and makes the evening harder for everyone. I’d start by preparing his space with his favorite toys and books to keep him engaged. Playing jungle music when he feels uneasy will help create a calm environment. I’ve worked with kids like him before and know how important it is to have a clear plan in place. Regular check-ins during the evening help keep things running smoothly. What time should I arrive, and does he have any favorite snacks I should bring?
