Hi, I'm a professional 3D-Designer and a drafter. I work for GEA group working with dairy machinery like chambers, cyclones, bagfilter and fluid bed. I provide the workshop with manufacturing drawing. I've worked with another firm on casting process for pumps, where i used to design molds for pumps and rotors. As far as your project is considered it would require good command over modelling to accommodate the contouring of the soul which can be done using surfacing and draft.
