I require a clear and accurate static stress evaluation of an SMC (Sheet Moulded Composite) skeletal component subjected to constant-amplitude loading. I have redesigned an existing stamped steel automotive door inner frame by converting it into a Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) composite structure. The geometry is finalized and ready for structural evaluation. You will be provided with: STEP geometry Boundary conditions Your responsibility is to: Develop a reliable finite element model of skeletal door frame SMC composite Accurately implement orthotropic composite material behavior Apply the defined boundary and load conditions Perform a linear static structural analysis The objective is to determine: Stress distribution Critical stress concentration regions Maximum displacements Factor of safety Vibration ( would be great ıf ı have ) Thermal, dynamic, and vibration effects are outside the scope of this work. You may use ANSYS provided that fully editable native files are delivered so the analysis can be independently rerun and verified. Deliverables Native solver project files (including mesh and load definitions) Short PDF report summarizing: Modeling assumptions Mesh convergence verification Peak stresses Maximum displacements Factor of safety Plots or screenshots clearly highlighting critical regions Completion will be accepted once the files can be opened, the analysis rerun, and peak stress values reproduced within standard numerical tolerance.
