insurance verification

I´m MBA for health companies, M.d., I also worked a couple of years ago, for an insurance company at Mexico and I´m also related to "Obamacare" this bid is a 1 time only since the price for this might be a bunch more due to the time it requires for a proper retroactive verification. Normally, this would be around 25-45dlls per patient and it totally depends on different parameters (age, sex, phone calls needed or e-mail communication needed, companies he has worked, and even the state on which the study will be done since some states don´t give you the information if you are not present for the request etc...) but, since this is my first Job here I´m requesting only a fraction of it, this project is tight to things that might be out of my hand.

I am a doctor with a master in public health. I am very familiar with HIPAA compliance due to my job and I have also worked in research projects surrounding health systems. Just to clarify - you need someone to act as a middle man to get retroactive authorization on behalf of the patient who switched from Medicare/Medicaid to Obamacare? So this will involve calling the Obamacare insurance company to get authorization for medical care that was already received, correct? I think I am a good fit for what your needs are, I am very comfortable with the legalities of the health system and I am really great at problem-solving. Thanks in advance!

Hello. I have extensive experience in this area. I am a RN with 20 years experience. I worked as a case manager for Medicaid so I understand how the process works from their end. Part of my job was to verify insurance including retroactive claims with other insurance companies. I also acted as temporary administrator for a new home health company and called insurances daily to verify insurance, approve services, discuss deductibles, review any other insurances. As far as HIPAA, there are several ways to be compliant. I am unclear what kind of provider you are, but once I have the details sometimes it is as simple as calling as the provider to insurance companies. Other times they require patients sign form giving permission. But the vast majority of the time this information is part of the provider and patient contract and has not been an issue. I helped write the updated HIPAA guidelines for Pennsylvania Medicaid in 2012 so I am quite familiar with HIPAA. I am happy to discuss project and my bid in further detail if needed. I have returned to finish my masters degree online so I am available full time. Classes are not currently in session.
