I'm having a big issue with a Win2003 server software raid which failed, and I'm trying to get the server back online.
I have a Windows 2003 std. server which had a software raid / dynamic partition, 2 scsi hard-drives. Seems like one of the hard-drives failed (windows showed an error message), i restarted the server thinking it was a hardware raid 1 and it'll still work, BUT the server wouldn't start and shows a blue screen now. I've spent the past day Googling this issue and trying different things but can't get it to work.
I don't have any Windows software raid/dynamic partition experience in the past, so I thought maybe you do or have seen this scenario before and can help me with it?
I guess the goal is to make the server start from the "good" hard-drive (which i assume may be secondary in the software raid)? That hard-drive is a dynamic partition. If it's possible to start a server from it, I'd be interested in you guiding me through on how to do that.
I have a backup and a VM copy of server, but thought that maybe i can fix this one instead...
