I had a working website. I switched hosting company. Copied codes from old hosting company to new hosting company, expecting it to run right off the bat. It didn't.
Evidently, I need to reconfigure all the database and possibly some other parts of the codes. I have no idea what needs to be done.
I assume it is simply an initial setup with this new hosting company.
Here is what the tech support from new hosting company told me to do.
Your website is showing the error as follows : ====== Connection error:A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - No such host is known.) ====== It clearly shows that website is unable to connect with the database. As Zane found that in the [url removed, login to view] file database connection string is empty. So to fix this website issue, you will need to update the database connection string in [url removed, login to view] file. Before that first create database (MySQL or MSSQL) and database user in the control panel and then import the database backup in the control panel. Then update the connection string in [url removed, login to view] file and this should fix the issue.
If you think you can solve my problem, for a reasonable fee. Please contact me and we can take it from there.
Thank You for your time.
